JULY 24, 2024
A Regular Meeting of the Township Trustees of the Town of Alton, Illinois was held on the above date in the City Council Chambers, City Hall Building, at the hour of 6:00 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bohart and on Call of Roll, the following members were present or absent.
PRESENT: MacAfee, Strebel, Brown, Meehan, Elliott, Gan – 6
ABSENT: Allen – 1
Also, in attendance was Alton Township Assessor Sheryl Beilsmith.
Mr. Gan made a motion, seconded by Mr. Meehan, that the said minutes of the regular meeting of July 10, 2024 be approved. The motion passed by the following vote:
AYES: MacAfee, Strebel, Brown, Meehan, Elliott, Gan – 6
NAYS: None – 0
ABSENT: Allen – 1
Chairman Bohart presented the Report and Listing of Bills for Payment and Action by Board; General Assistance Fund in the amount of $4,955.27; Town Fund in the amount of
$28,931.66; Social Security fund in the amount of $1,146.67; Illinois Municipal Retirement in the amount of $1,311.66. Mr. Gan made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Brown, that the said Bill Listing be approved. The motion passed by the following vote:
AYES: MacAfee, Strebel, Brown, Meehan, Elliott, Gan – 6
NAYS: None – 0
ABSENT: Allen – 1
Chairman Bohart presented a bid estimate regarding the porch replacement. The estimate was submitted by Geisen Construction, LLC in the amount of $12,125.00. Mr. Strebel made a motion, seconded by Mr. Meehan, that the said bid estimate be approved. The motion passed by the following vote:
AYES: MacAfee, Strebel, Brown, Meehan, Elliott, Gan – 6
NAYS: None – 0
ABSENT: Allen – 1
There being no further business to come before the Board of Trustees at this time, Mrs. Brown made a motion, seconded by Mr. Meehan, that said meeting adjourn. The motion passed by the following vote:
AYES: MacAfee, Strebel, Brown, Meehan, Elliott, Gan – 6
NAYS: None – 0
