WEDNESDAY APRIL 24, 2024

A Regular Meeting of the Township Trustees of the Town of Alton, Illinois was held on
the above date in the City Council Chambers, City Hall Building, at the hour of 6:00 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by acting Chairman MacAfee and on Call of Roll, the
following members were present or absent:
PRESENT: Allen, MacAfee, Strebel, Brown, Meehan, Gan – 6
ABSENT: Elliott – 1
Also in attendance was Alton Township Assessor, Sheryl Beilsmith and Alton Township
Secretary Rachael Drake. Alton Township Supervisor, Mary Bohart was absent. Mr. Meehan made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Brown, that the minutes of the regular
meeting of April 10, 2024 be approved. The motion passed by the following vote:
AYES Allen, MacAfee, Strebel, Brown, Meehan, Gan – 6
NAYS: None – 0
ABSENT: Elliott – 1
Acting Chairman MacAfee presented the Report and Listing of Bills for Payment and
Action by Board; General Assistance Fund in the amount of $8,625.34; Town Fund in the amount of $16,959.60; Social Security Fund in the amount of $1,143.00. Mrs. Brown made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Allen, that the said Bill Listing be approved. The motion passed by the following vote:
AYES Allen, MacAfee, Strebel, Brown, Meehan, Gan – 6
NAYS: None – 0
ABSENT: Elliott – 1
Alton Township Assessor Sheryl Beilsmith, announced the hire of a new employee.
There being no further business to come before the Board of Trustees at this time, Mrs.
Brown made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Allen that the meeting adjourn. The motion passed by the following vote:
AYES: Allen, MacAfee, Strebel, Brown, Meehan, Gan – 6
NAYS: None – 0

A Regular Meeting of the Township Trustees of the Town of Alton, Illinois was held on
the above date in the City Council Chambers, City Hall Building, at the hour of 6:00 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bohart and on Call of Roll, the following
members were present or absent:
PRESENT: Allen, MacAfee, Strebel, Brown, Meehan, Elliott, Gan – 7
ABSENT: – 0
Also, in attendance, Township Assessor Sheryl Beilsmith. Mr. Meehan made a motion, seconded by Mr. Gan, that the minutes of the regular meeting of March 27, 2024 be approved. The motion passed by the following vote:
AYES: Allen, MacAfee, Strebel, Brown, Meehan, Elliott, Gan – 7
NAYS: None – 0
Chairman Bohart presented the monthly Report for March 2024, (All Funds): Town Fund in the amount of $679,245.03; General Assistance Fund in the amount of $205,417.98; Social Security Fund in the amount of $73,764.49; Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund in the amount of $79,023.91; Town Savings Fund in the amount of $200,861.60. Mr. Meehan made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Allen, that the Monthly Report be approved and placed on file. The motion passed by the following vote:
AYES: Allen, MacAfee, Strebel, Brown, Meehan, Elliott, Gan – 7
NAYS: None – 0
Chairman Bohart presented the Report and Listing of Bills for Payment and Action by
Board; General Assistance Fund in the amount of $10,337.14; Town Fund in the amount of $17,028.17; Social Security fund in the amount of $1,164.02. Mrs. Allen made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Brown, that said Bill Listing be approved. The motion passed by the following vote:
AYES: Allen, MacAfee, Strebel, Brown, Meehan, Elliott, Gan – 7
NAYS: None – 0
There being no further business to come before the Board of Trustees at this time, Mrs.
Elliott made a motion, seconded by Mrs. MacAfee, that the meeting adjourn. The motion passed by the following vote:
