A Regular Meeting of the Township Trustees of the Town of Alton, Illinois was held on the above date in the City Council Chambers, City Hall Building, at the hour of 6:00 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bohart and on Call of Roll, the following members were present or absent:
PRESENT: MacAfee, Strebel, Brown, Meehan, Elliott, Gan – 6
ABSENT: Allen – 1
Mrs. Brown made a motion, seconded by Mr. Meehan, that the minutes of the regular meeting of June 26, 2024 be approved. The motion passed by the following vote:
AYES: MacAfee, Strebel, Brown, Meehan, Elliott, Gan – 6
NAYS: None – 0
ABSENT: Allen – 1
Chairman Bohart presented the monthly Report for June 2024, (All Funds): Town Fund in the amount of $672,118.29; General Assistance Fund in the amount of $149,550.13; Social Security Fund in the amount of $71,915.96; Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund in the amount of $75,281.29; Town Savings Fund in the amount of $201,463.14. Mr. Brown made a motion, seconded by Mr. Meehan, that the Monthly Report by Approved and placed on file. The motion passed by the following vote:
AYES: MacAfee, Strebel, Brown, Meehan, Elliott, Gan – 6
NAYS: None – 0
ABSENT: Allen – 1
Chairman Bohart presented the Report and Listing of Bills for Payment and Action by Board; General Assistance Fund in the amount of $12,561.54; Town Fund in the amount of $16,396.31; Social Security fund in the amount of $1,173.29. Mrs. MacAfee made a motion, seconded by Mr. Meehan, that the said Bill Listing be approved. The motion passed by the following vote:
AYES: MacAfee, Strebel, Brown, Meehan, Elliott, Gan – 6
NAYS: None – 0
ABSENT: Allen – 1
Chairman Bohart discussed obtaining bids for a new porch. Alderwoman Brown also discussed the Socks for Tots program.
There being no further business to come before the Board of Trustees at this time, Mrs. Brown made a motion, seconded by Mr. Meehan, that the meeting adjourn. The motion passed by the following vote:
AYES: MacAfee, Strebel, Brown, Meehan, Elliott, Gan – 6
NAYS: None – 0
