A Regular Meeting of the Township Trustees of the Town of Alton, Illinois was held on the above date in the City Council Chambers, City Hall Building, at the hour of 6:00 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bohart and on Call of Roll, the following members were present or absent:
PRESENT: Bohn, Pfister, Velloff, Brown, Meehan, Elliott, Ford – 7
ABSENT: None – 0
Also, in attendance, Alton Township Attorney Matt Kelly
Mr. Meehan made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Brown, that the minutes of the regular meeting of October 8, 2025 be approved. The motion passed by the following vote:
AYES: Bohn, Pfister, Velloff, Brown, Meehan, Elliott, Ford – 7
NAYS: None – 0
Chairman Bohart presented the Report and Listing of Bills for Payment and Action by Board; General Assistance Fund in the amount of $8,654.94; Town Fund in the amount of $27,511.02; Social Security fund in the amount of $2,164.10. Mr. Meehan made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Pfister, that said Bill Listing be approved. The motion passed by the following vote:
AYES: Bohn, Pfister, Velloff, Brown, Meehan, Elliott, Ford – 7
NAYS: None – 0
Chairman Bohart presented the Notice of the 2025 Alton Township Tax Levy Ordinance and Certificate of Tax Levy. Mr. Meehan made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Ford, that the Notice of the 2025 Alton Township Tax Levy Ordinance and Certificate of Tax Levy be approved. The motion passed by the following vote:
AYES: Bohn, Pfister, Velloff, Brown, Meehan, Elliott, Ford – 7
NAYS: None – 0
Chairman Bohart made the Board of Trustees aware that the Alton Township now hands out 20 local bus passes each month, 1st come first serve. Through grant with MCT.
There being no further business to come before the Board of Trustees at this time, Mrs. Brown made a motion, seconded by Mr. Meehan, that the meeting adjourn. The motion passed by the following vote:
AYES: Bohn, Pfister, Velloff, Brown, Meehan, Elliott, Ford – 7

Chairman Bohart presented the Monthly Report for September 2025, (All Funds): Town Fund in the amount of $853,436.71; General Assistance Fund in the amount of $140,263.86; Social Security Fund in the amount of $57,032.69; Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund in the amount of $85,784.79; Town Savings Fund in the amount of $204,524.81. Mr. Meehan made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Brown that the Monthly Report be approved and placed on file. The motion passed by the following vote:
AYES: Bohn, Pfister, Velloff, Brown, Meehan, Ford – 6
NAYS: None – 0
ABSENT: Elliott—1
Chairman Bohart presented the Report and Listing of Bills for Payment and Action by Board; General Assistance Fund in the amount of $9,500.58; Town Fund in the amount of $19,797.58; Social Security fund in the amount of $1,112.66; Mrs. Brown made a motion, seconded by Mr. Meehan, that the said Bill Listing be approved.
