In observance of President Abraham Lincoln's birthday, the Township office will be closed for business Thursday, February 12th, 2026. The office will reopen for regular business hours on Friday, February 13th, 2026.

The Township of Alton is split between 2 offices. You can find the Assessor's office at 102 E. Broadway, at the corner of Broadway and Alby Street.

The General Assistance and Supervisor's office is located in the back of the Assessor's building, at 100A E.Broadway. You can enter at the parking lot on Alby Street, directly behind the City Hall building.
