In observance of Christmas, the Township office will close at 12 noon on Wednesday, December 24th, 2025 and not reopen until Monday, December 29th, 2025 for regular business hours. Happy holidays.

The Township of Alton is split between 2 offices. You can find the Assessor's office at 102 E. Broadway, at the corner of Broadway and Alby Street.

The General Assistance and Supervisor's office is located in the back of the Assessor's building, at 100A E.Broadway. You can enter at the parking lot on Alby Street, directly behind the City Hall building.
