TUESDAY APRIL 7, 2026

6:01 P.M.

The Meeting was called to order by the Town Clerk.

There were 9 Citizens of Alton present:

The Town Clerk read the following:

NOTICE of "ANNUAL TOWN MEETING"

Notice is hereby given that the "Annual Town Meeting" of the Town of Alton, Madison County, Illinois, will be held on the 7th day of April, 2026, at the hour of 6:01 p. m. in the Alton City Council Chambers, 101 East Third Street, Alton, Illinois, for the purpose of transacting any business that may properly come before the said meeting.

Given under my hand and the seal of the Town of Alton, Madison County, Illinois, this 11th day of March, 2026.

Clerk calls for the Nominations for Moderator for this Annual Town Meeting.

Ms. Beilsmith made a motion, seconded by Mr.Kelly to nominate and elect Ashley Havis as Moderator.

Ms. Drake made a motion, seconded by Mr. Kelly, that the nominations be closed.

The Town Clerk then swore in Ashley Havis as Moderator.

Ms. Havis took over as Presiding Officer for the Annual Town Meeting.

Mr. Meehan made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Bohart, that the minutes of the last Annual Town Meeting: April 8th, 2025 be approved and place on file. The motion passed by a unanimous vote.

Mr. Kelly made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Bohart, to waive the reading of the following material and to place on file. The motion passed by a unanimous vote.

a)Statement of Financial Affairs of Township

b)Certificate of Audit

Mr. Kelly made a motion, seconded by Mr. Meehan that the Annual Town Meeting Adjourn at 6:07. The motion passed by a unanimous vote.
