TOWN OF ALTON

ALTON, ILLINOIS

MARCH 11, 2026

A Regular Meeting of the Township Trustees of the Town of Alton, Illinois was held on the above date in the City Council Chambers, City Hall Building, at the hour of 6:00 P.M.

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bohart and on Call of Roll, the following members were present or absent.

PRESENT: Bohn, Pfister, Velloff, Brown, Meehan, Ford – 6

ABSENT: Elliott– 1

Also, in attendance was Alton Township Attorney, Matt Kelly.

Mr. Meehan made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Brown, that the said minutes of the

regular meeting of February 25, 2026 be approved. The motion passed by the following vote:

AYES: Bohn, Pfister, Velloff, Brown, Meehan, Ford – 6

NAYS: None – 0

ABSENT: Elliott– 1

Chairman Bohart presented the monthly Report for February 2026, (All Funds): Town Fund in the amount of $830,252.67; General Assistance Fund in the amount of $160,425.84; Social Security Fund in the amount of $53,055.15; Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund in the amount of $89,333.21; Town Savings Fund in the amount of $205,535.42. Mr. Meehan made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Pfister, that the Monthly Report be approved and placed on file. The motion passed by the following vote:

AYES: Bohn, Pfister, Velloff, Brown, Meehan, Ford – 6

NAYS: None – 0

ABSENT: Elliott– 1

Chairman Bohart presented the Tentative Budget Presentation for 2026-2027 for the Town of Alton. Mr. Meehan made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Pfister, that the said presentation be approved. The motion passed by the following vote:

AYES: Bohn, Pfister, Velloff, Brown, Meehan, Ford – 6

NAYS: None – 0

ABSENT: Elliott– 1

Chairman Bohart presented the Report and Listing of Bills for Payment and Action by Board; General Assistance Fund in the amount of $7,935.54; Town Fund in the amount of $16,202.33; Social Security fund in the amount of $1,110.35. Mr. Meehan made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Pfister, that the said Bill Listing be approved. The motion passed by the following vote:

AYES: Bohn, Pfister, Velloff, Brown, Meehan, Ford – 6

NAYS: None – 0

ABSENT: Elliott– 1

NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING to TRUSTEES

Alton Township-Alton, Illinois

TRUSTEES of ALTON TOWNSHIP:

In Accordance with Chapter 60, Paragraph 1/70-30 to Paragraph 1/80-10, Paragraph 1/235-5, Paragraph 1/235-10, Paragraph 1/235-20 and Chapter 50, Paragraph 330/3 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes Revised 1998, you are hereby notified to a Special Meeting of the Trustees.

The Special Meeting is to be held in the Alton City Council Chambers, 101 E. Third

Street, Alton, Illinois, at 6:01 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, for the following purposes:

1. To appoint the Town Attorney.

2. To examine and audit the accounts of the Supervisor for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026.

3. To hold a Public Hearing on the Tentative Budget and Appropriation Ordinance for fiscal year 2026-2027 for the Township of Alton.

4. To adopt a Permanent Budget and Appropriation Ordinance for fiscal year 2026–2027 for the Township of Alton.

Notice is hereby given that the “Annual Town Meeting” of the Town of Alton, Madison County, Illinois, will be held on the 7th day of April, 2026, at the hour of 6:01 p.m., Alton City Council Chambers, City Hall Building, 101 East Third Street, Alton, Illinois, for the purpose of transacting any business that may properly come before the said meeting.

There being no further business to come before the Board of Trustees at this time, Mr. Velloff made a motion, seconded by Mr. Bohn, that the meeting adjourn. The motion passed by the following vote:

AYES: Bohn, Pfister, Velloff, Brown, Meehan, Ford – 6

NAYS: None – 0
